What a busy time we have had in Eagles Class this week! We've been brushing up on our addition, solving some really tricky problems and using our reasoning skills, as well as reading a variety of short stories in preparation for writing some of our own for the younger children. We have designed, built and evaluated bridges using just 4 sheets of paper - some of them were able to support the weight of 50 cubes! We have been thinking about how to improve these - does anyone have any suggestions? Also this week we visited the Soul Space where everyone had the opportunity to reflect on the world around us. We had lots of discussion and all agreed that it was a fantastic way to explore in different ways. Everyone agreed that the highlight of our week was the visit to Bristol to see Mary Poppins. We were very excited to see our old friends The Clifton Suspension Bridge and SS Great Britain, but The Bristol Hippodrome took our breath away with its golden radiators and stylish decor. Please ask us about the show - it was AWESOME... although Mr Brixey admitted he was a bit worried when Mary Poppins flew straight over his head!
Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe on Bonfire Night.
