See how fabulous our tree is looking with all the hand decorated baubles? Great work Eagles!
December - the season of Advent and assessment in Eagles Class! This week we have been demonstrating our learning by completing assessments in maths, writing, reading comprehension, spelling and grammar. More exciting has been the arrival of a beautiful Christmas tree for our classroom, kindly provided by Mrs Browne. Thankyou! We spent an great morning in Tewkesbury Abbey getting ready for our forthcoming Carol Concert. What a fantastic privilege to be able to celebrate Christmas in such awesome surroundings- we are really looking forward to it!
This week we are celebrating the writing of our own Mr Brixey, who used all of his writing targets to produce this magnificent story based on Christmas Eve 1914. Can you identify any of the writing targets he has used? Which part of his writing do you like best? Why? Are there any techniques you could "magpie" in your own writing? How might he improve his first draft? Have a good weekend everyone - and don't forget your maths homework and spellings! |
