There was an air of great anticipation in Eagles Class today when a panel of important people came to hear about our brilliant innovations. The Innovation panel included Mark Cummings from Radio Gloucestershire, Jessica Birch from Learnpad, Mrs Godzisz and Mr Nolan. If you want to find out more, tune in to The Mark Cummings Breakfast Show on Monday morning to hear some of our ideas as well as our "...It's Ten to Eight" recording.
Harrison: "Today was such a good day! Me, Paul and Kieran got to show our innovation - the Super Scissor stand."
Amber: "Today, I had the most wonderful but scary day. I had to speak out loud to a panel of experts. In the end our invention (The Handy Helper Storage System) won the prize for best idea. I am personally really proud of myself!"
Courtney: "It was amazing! I'm so glad I met those engineers!"
Scott: "Today was an epic day. I had lots of fun but when it was our turn I got really really scared. But when I got up I got used to it and it was fun."
Paul: " Today was such a fun day. When I got up I thought that this wouldn't work out well, but what happened was the opposite! Well done everyone that tried and thanks to Mr Nolan, Mark Cummings, Jessica Birch and Mrs Godisz for joining us"
Ollie: "Today was the best day of my life. When I walked in the class, the tables were all in lines and in the middle of the room was the circle table with four names on cards. Mrs Troughton called out our names and we went to the front of the class to talk about our product. Then we had a break before the winners were called out."
Aleisha: " When \i went up to the judges, I was a bit scared because I have never spoken to people like that before, but when I started speaking everything that was scaring me just went away. I was proud of me and Bridie because we won the competition. I liked doing the competition because it was exciting and fun and on Monday at ten to eight we will be on the radio!"
Nicole: "Today I felt nervous. I definitely had a tickle in my tummy and I was scared to stand up. When it came to my group I felt nervous and I kept laughing but then they started to ask me questions about my invention and I knew there wasn't anything to worry about any more."
